Volunteering and Fundraising at The Tabor Centre
The Tabor Centre is very active in the local community but to continue to thrive the members need the support from volunteers.
We are very grateful for the support we receive from all our volunteers but there is always room for more, whether it is directly helping the members with their activities or through fundraising.

Volunteering
If you have a few hours spare a week and would like to visit the Centre to see what goes on and how you could help, please use the enquiry form and we will contact you to arrange a 'no obligation' visit and chat with Sue the Manager, or Kate her Deputy.
200 Club
Members of the 200 Club agree to make a regular agreed donation to Tabor Centre funds, and prize winning draws take place twice a month.
Each month a draw will be held on the 2nd and 4th Friday.
Proceeds from each draw will be shared equally between the Tabor Centre and the draw prizes.
You will be given a unique number when you join. Any prize you win will be sent automatically - no need to claim. Draw details will be posted at The Tabor Centre.
Fundraising
In these times of financial austerity and reduced social care budgets, the Centre is proud of the work it does to raise funds. The money donated ensures continued good standards of support and equal opportunities for its members whether or not they receive health or social care funding.

A lot of the fundraising is undertaken by the members themselves but we are always looking for help with ideas and fundraising activities. We always appreciate contact from other organisations who might be looking for a cause to support e.g. schools and gyms.
In the past the Centre has been lucky enough to receive grants from the National Lottery to purchase the Centre's two vehicles. The importance of the vehicles in maintaining independence cannot be denied but they are an expensive necessity, so we are constantly looking for funds to keep them going and will eventually have to replace the existing vehicles.
If you feel this is something you would like to help with, please use the enquiry form so that we can contact you.
